We chose synthesis for our name, because it so well defines the way that our organization operates. The formal dictionary definition for synthesis is: A. The combining of separate elements or substances to form a cohesive whole. B. The complex whole so formed. C. Formation of a compound from simpler compounds or elements. D. Reasoning from the general to the particular, logical deduction.

The relationships we have formed with our partners represent ‘separate elements’ and our organization represents the ‘complex whole so formed.’Together, we bring a wealth of expertise, leadership, knowledge, and experience to our clients. From general business strategy, management consulting and operations efficiency, to information systems architecture and application development, we are able to engage as generalists or as industry-, functional-, or technology-experts. Accordingly, we ‘reason from the general to the particular’, and further, the senior level of resources that are often brought to an engagement are able to ‘deduce logically’. We believe that there is real and intrinsic value to this model and approach. The real value is derived from the diversity of intellectual capital and real-world experience that goes into every one of our engagements; the intrinsic value can be found in the enduring relationships with our partners and clients.
[click image to enlarge] While many traditional consulting companies attempt to ‘fit a square peg into a round hole’ by bringing the same resources and capabilities to different clients and to different engagements, our model affords us the opportunity to draw from several hundred resources to bring the best talent to each client engagement at the right time. Our business model is less concerned with maintaining ‘billable hours’ and is more concerned about understanding what opportunities and issues our clients face and how we can bring our experience and relationships to the table to yield the greatest results.
